We know just how important your compound is to you and how critical it is to choose the right tools to carry it through the development pipeline. We also know ADME and drug-drug interactions; it’s what our scientists do all day every day. Let us help you find the right test systems for your in-house in vitro preclinical work.
In Vitro Test Systems & ADME / DMPK / DDI Studies
The success of a compound’s entry to Clinical Phase hinges on the quality of data. You can trust the quality of our products because they are used in our lab every day by our own research scientists for the same studies you perform. Together, we have invested over 25 years in developing and refining the tools you need to generate consistent, reliable data.
Our In Vitro Products for Preclinical Testing
Custom Products
Sometimes standard offerings don’t quite fit your needs. We fill in the gaps by dedicating a special Custom Products team with access to a wide array of species and specialized isolation experience to help clients obtain the perfect test system for their assays.
Cellular Products
Hepatic cellular products including hepatocytes and Kupffer cells are the base component for many in vitro assays investigating hepatic interaction with a drug compound.
Subcellular Fractions
Subcellular fractions, including microsomes, S9, and lysosomes from human or animal tissue, can be obtained by successive centrifugation from any tissue and are widely used as a test system in early stages of drug development for metabolism and screening studies.
Tissue & Arrays
We offer multiple forms of snap-frozen liver tissue and arrays for research related to liver disease and function. Our products include disease-specific tissue microarrays (TMAs) and prelysate tissue frozen in buffer or cryopulverized.
Recombinant Enzymes
Recombinant enzymes are the simplest system available to study enzyme interaction. Different isoforms of CYPS and UGTs are engineered to enable researchers to distinguish a xenobiotic’s effect on the activity of individual enzymes.
Substrates & Metabolites
Cytochrome P450 (CYP) substrates and metabolites are commonly used in early-stage drug discovery to identify a compound’s production of specific metabolites & help you expedite drug candidate selection.
Serologies
All human tissues accepted by XenoTech have been tested for the possible presence of various infectious diseases, and XenoTech does not accept human-derived material unless the donor has tested negative (non-reactive) for RPR (rapid plasma reagent), HIVAb (human immunodeficiency virus antibody), HBsAg (hepatitis B surface antigen), HCVAb (hepatitis C virus antibody), and SARS-CoV-2 (as of March 2020).
All human tissue is also tested for CMVAb (cytomegalovirus antibody). However, due to the widespread (nearly ubiquitous) appearance of CMV in the population, and its relative insignificance as an infectious agent, tissues from donors reactive for CMVAb are accepted. The serology status of each donor is typically determined by ELISA or Nucleic Acid Test by the organ procurement hospital.
